District 7690

The Yadkin Valley Rotary Club was chartered on February 23, 1994. It was the 30000th club established in the Rotary World. Naturally, it followed the same objectives of the international organization, that is an organization of business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Like Rotary clubs everywhere, the Yadkin Valley Rotary Club meets once a week, every Wednesday at 7:45 am, at Fill In The Gap on Main Street, in downtown Elkin.

11 Years of Service Above Self

Since its founding, the Yadkin Valley Rotary Club has been dedicated to serving the community by engaging in projects that have addressed the needs and wants of others. Previous efforts included fund-raising for a water well in an impoverished area of Brazil and for mattresses for an orphanage in Moldova. On-going projects include the annual golf tournament to support the Upper Yadkin Valley Habitat For Humanity as well as scholarships for the local high school students. The Yadkin Valley Rotary Club gave over $XXXXX.00 to a number of deserving community organizations last year, in addition to the scholarships.
