Special Interest Groups are loose affiliations of individuals who share a common interest. SIGs were an outgrowth of various computer groups in the late Twentieth Century, but broadened to include any loose organization devoted to a common purpose. SIGs are devoted to activities as various as martial arts, bird watching, crystal design, the philosophy of genetic culpability, and parent rights. Intercorp recognizes any registered SIG, and special permits for topside or corridor travel are available.
